Why CISCO CCNP Training Is Essential For Every Computer Network Engineer

It is a fact that technology has come to stay. For this reason, information technology experts are in high demand especially those who have the CISCO CCNP training. The Certified Network Professional is the organization that does the certification of individuals to ensure that they have the appropriate training and years of experience for them to be considered as experts in the field.

As more and more businesses become reliant on personal computers and the technology it employs, the need for more certified technicians has grown and having CCNP certified technician is the requirement. This certification puts the ordinary technician well ahead of his colleagues.

Cisco has a core networking certification and professional-level programme known as the CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional). Persons who earn this certification are able to plan, install, configure as well as troubleshoot LAN's or WAN's, for both large and small companies. Before the prospective candidate can sit the exams to achieve CCNP certification they need to confirm that they possess a valid CCNA Switching and Routing certification or any recognized CCIE certification. The CCNP certification exams are a set of three; Implementing Cisco IP Routing - 120 minutes, 45-55 questions; 642-813 SWITCH - Implementing Cisco IP Switched Networks - 120 minutes, 35-45 questions and 642-832 TSHOOT - Resolve issues with and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks - 135 minutes, 35-40 questions.

In addition to the above the person desirous of having gaining Certified Network Professional certification must be the holder of a valid CCNA Routing and Switching certification or any CCIE certification that is valid. They must also sit and pass three exams, namely, Implementing Cisco IP Routing, Implementing IP Switched and Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks.

There is no set order in which to take the exams and the examinations themselves are of a mixed format, simlets, multiple choice, simulations etc. The exams are graded on a scale of 300-1000 and the scores not available to the public. The questions carry varying weights based on complex they are and candidates must obtain a score higher than 850 to pass.

You can also register for your exams through any Pearson VUE testing or Prometric center who will advise you on the requirements. The validity period of the Certified Network Professional certification from CISCO is three years. The technician will need to be re-certified after that period. It is important for firms and individuals to ensure this is done to make sure that all specialists are up to date with the new technologies introduced with time. The benefits from ensuring that is done is mutual, that's to any firm that'll need the services of the expert and the expert himself.
